SMS Terms & Consent
Last updated August 7, 2026
Consent summary. HealthPulse sends automated operational SMS about the health of Athantic’s own production infrastructure, to Athantic’s own internal system administrator only. No customer, visitor, or third party receives these messages. We do not send marketing messages. Message frequency varies with system events and is typically 0–5 per month. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe, HELP for help. Your mobile number is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for any purpose.
What this program is
HealthPulse is the infrastructure monitoring layer of the Athantic Mail Server, which runs on Amazon EC2. When a monitored system signal crosses an alarm threshold — a missing monitoring heartbeat indicating the host is unreachable or the poller has stopped, memory exhaustion, a service in a failed state, a stalled mail queue, or the sending address appearing on a DNS blocklist — an Amazon CloudWatch alarm publishes to Amazon SNS, which invokes an AWS Lambda function, which sends a single SMS to the registered administrator number. No message is initiated by a person, and every message is transactional and tied to a system event.
Who receives these messages
One recipient: Athantic’s own system administrator, who owns both the account and the monitored infrastructure. There is no mechanism by which any other party can be added, and no number is ever collected from a customer, a visitor, or a third party.
How the number is registered and consent is given
There is one opt-in path. The administrator signs in to the Athantic Mail Server Console, opens Health Pulse → Config → Contacts, enters his own mobile number, and selects a consent checkbox reading: “I authorize Athantic HealthPulse to send operational alert SMS to this number. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.” The checkbox is unselected by default and must be actively chosen. The Console is fully usable without it — SMS alerting is optional and consent is not a condition of using any Athantic product or service.
The Console is an internal administrative tool. It requires authentication and is restricted at the network layer to Athantic’s own operator address, so it is not publicly reachable. Representative depictions of the complete consent screen are published below so the flow can be verified without Console access. They are recreated from the live interface with fictional values; Athantic does not publish images containing real operational data.

Data use
Your mobile phone number is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for any purpose. The number is used exclusively to deliver Athantic infrastructure alerts. SMS delivery is facilitated by Twilio under contractual data protection obligations.
Opting out
Reply STOP to any message; or clear the consent checkbox or remove the number in Health Pulse → Config → Contacts; or email info@athantic.com. The dedicated sending number will be published here and displayed in every message at launch.
